Looks like we have ourselves a fraternity full of Justin Biebers, sans cursing out former President Bill Clinton. Well, as far as we know.
The University of Central Florida chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha has been placed on disciplinary probation through Spring 2016 after an incident that occurred at Lake Claire, which is a massive, common lake area complete with a boat house, that’s open for UCF students. Lake Claire, which is located at the end of Greek Row, is said to be a major staging area for parties and other Greek events.
Apparently, at a tailgate on Sept. 20, before the UCF Knights took on Bethune-Cookman (wherever that is), the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha found a nice spot to start grillin’, drinkin’, and chillin’, and they started a fist fight with some jerks, which police broke up. To make matters worse, the deputy director of Greek life observed a brother of the fraternity leaving the Lake Claire boat house, which was supposedly locked. All the lights were on and a fresh puddle of urine was in the corner. Cla$$y. They also didn’t clean up their tailgate spot, naturally.
According to Knight News, which handles everything you need to know about YOUR UCF Knights, “the chapter may not host social activities for the rest of fall 2014, and must be alcohol-free during the spring 2015, summer 2015 and fall 2015 terms.”
The fraternity must also hold a summit with its international headquarters about the status of individual brothers before May 2015. Sounds like these boys ought to do a better job of cleaning up their own acts than they did of cleaning up after their tailgate..
