These Careers Get You The Most Right Swipes On Tinder

Of all of the millions of ways to find the love of your life (or the week, if we’re being honest), Tinder is by far one of the most stress-inducing, because you only get one shot. In real life, if you don’t make a great first impression, it’s no big deal – you buy another drink, you go on another date, or you send a 2:15 AM “U up?” text, and you might just have a second chance. Tinder, on the other hand, is completely different. With one profile misstep, you’ll be left-swiped in an instant, and your possible Prince Charming is gone forever.

Thankfully, your days of being swiped into oblivion may finally be over. As it turns out, what you put down as your career on Tinder makes a HUGE difference in what direction your carefully-chosen profile picture gets swiped. Thankfully for us, the data analysts over at Tinder have let us know what jobs get females the most right swipes on their app:

  1. Physical Therapist
  2. Interior Designer
  3. Founder/Entrepreneur
  4. PR/Communications
  5. Teacher
  6. College Student
  7. Speech Language Pathologist
  8. Pharmacist
  9. Social Media Manager
  10. Model
  11. Dental Hygienist
  12. Nurse
  13. Flight Attendant
  14. Personal Trainer
  15. Real Estate Agent

Luckily for you, you’re already in a great position to match with every potential Tinder mate since “College Student” ranks #6 on the list of most-swiped careers. If you’re not in a position to get a ring by spring however, this list may end up helping you decide what to pick when you finally declare your major. To be fair to both sexes, Tinder also released the data of which male careers get the most swipes as well:

  1. Pilot
  2. Founder/Entrepreneur
  3. Firefighter
  4. Doctor
  5. TV/Radio Personality
  6. Teacher
  7. Engineer
  8. Model
  9. Paramedic
  10. College Student
  11. Lawyer
  12. Personal Trainer
  13. Financial Advisor
  14. Police Officer
  15. Military

Alright, yeah, that makes sense, because I haven’t even looked at any profiles and I feel incredibly attracted to each and every one of those categories. So what does this mean for you? Live up being in college as much as possible, and maybe speak to your advisor about switching to a physical therapy degree. As for that hot blond in your chem class, though, you’d better ask him out now before he has a chance to (re)download Tinder. Chances are, he’ll be gone before you know it.
