There’s A Hot New Restaurant Where Guests Dine In Their Birthday Suits

Whenever I get asked on a date, I usually shower first. Afterwards, I hang out naked for awhile before putting on any clothes. In those nude moments, I ponder why I even bother wearing clothes for a date. I mean seriously, he’s probably going to see what’s underneath later anyways. Every girl spends about 15 minutes just trying on clothes to figure out which ones we want our date to take off later. It’s ludicrous.

Well one restaurant finally figured out that clothes are super overrated. The new London restaurant, “The Bunyadi,” is set to open June 11, and encourages guests to strip off their clothes completely. If you don’t want to bare it all, the restaurant will provide robes and slippers, and there will be a locker room for guests to change. The restaurant will be divided into sections of “pure” and “clothed.” The locale only seats 42 people, and there’s already a list of 42,610 people on a waiting list. However, the restaurant will only be open for three months.

Seb Lyall, founder of pop-up experience company Lollipop, said, “We believe people should get the chance to enjoy and experience a night out without any impurities: no chemicals, no artificial colors, no electricity, no gas, no phone and even no clothes if they wish to. The idea is to experience true liberation.”

Everything about the venue helps build this sense of “true liberation.” The decor includes bamboo, candle-lit canopies, and wooden furniture. And the food consists of wood-flame grilled meals on clay dishes with edible cutlery. Having your phone at the table is absolutely outlawed.

Purity, ain’t it grand?
