Taylor Swift is on the cover of the March 2015 issue of Vogue and is sharing the limelight with her alleged “Best Friend Forever” Karlie Kloss – which is weird, because I thought I was Taylor Swift’s best friend?
I mean, just look at the evidence. Taylor and Karlie have only known each other for, like, a year. That’s right, just one, stupid, singular year. I’ve known Taylor since I was fifteen! She was totally there for me during some rough times my junior year of high school — like when everyone was flat ironing their hair but I chose to follow my heart and wear my hair curly. It took balls, but Taylor was there to back me up.
And how could she just forget all of those times we belted out tunes together in the car? Or how supportive I’ve been of her Instagram? Or what about that time she decided to switch genres from country to pop? I distinctly remember saying “It’s totally okay — I switched my major from econ to psych and look at how much happier I am!” Way to just forget the little people, Tay. I, like, invented her.
Does it hurt me to know that Karlie gets to reap the benefits of Taylor’s baking skills or the fact that they have dance parties and I’m not there? Of course, I’m only human. In all honesty though, if I can’t be Taylor’s actual best friend, this Karlie chick (she’s, like, some model, IDK. Who even cares? I heard this guy Karl is really into her?) seems like an alright substitute. .
