People Who Post A Lot Of Selfies May Have Clinical Psychological Issues

I’d like to meet one person who looks perfect on the first selfie. You can’t take just one selfie. You just can’t. It takes at least ten attempts, with varying faces and angles. Everyone takes selfies, but not everyone posts selfies, and apparently there is a huge distinction between the two.

People who post a ton of selfies are more likely to exhibit “the dark triad” of personality traits, according to a study published by Market Watch.

This dark triad consists of narcissism (extreme self-centeredness), Machiavellianism (manipulation of others) and psychopathy (acting impulsively with no regard for other people’s feelings).

Who else does this perfectly describe but the woman who literally published a book filled with her own selfies? That’s right, Kim Kardashian-West.

“So you agree. You think you’re really pretty.” People who post ten second long stories on Snapchat of a selfie actually do agree, and that’s why they assault your timeline with their faces way, WAY too often.

This doesn’t mean that everyone who posts selfies is a psycho. It just means that they think they’re really attractive and they’re kind of annoying about it.

It’s worth noting that posting a lot of selfies doesn’t make a non-narcissistic person suddenly become obsessed with their looks. It’s just a tell-tale sign that someone on your Instagram feed has a clinical problem that makes them think it’s okay to post two selfies in one day.
