Pause — Is This A Calorie-Free Girl Scout Cookie Option?

Pause. Is This A Calorie-Free Girl Scout Cookie Option?

Well, sort of.

There are a lot of things in this world I don’t understand. Why don’t dirty emojis exist yet? Why don’t moral compasses have lifetime warranties? Why isn’t stabbing a birthday cake with a kitchen knife considered normal to the general public? But up until today, one thing I truly, truly didn’t understand was why Girl Scout cookie season isn’t considered a real season. Sure, my first Instagram of winter probably got more likes than a crumb-filled, empty sleeve of Thin Mints would, but I should be able to stock up on these delicious little cookies year-round without feeling like the producers of Hoarders: Buried Alive are going to burst through my front door like SEAL Team Six.

Well, the geniuses over at Yankee Candle must’ve telepathically heard my depressed cries for help (read: Thin Mints) because they came up with a solution that allows consumers like me to enjoy the goods all year long. And get this — it’s CALORIE FREE. Yes, Yankee Candle has teamed up with the Girl Scouts of the USA to release a limited-edition candle collection based on the beloved cookies. Flavors include the ever so popular Thin Mints, as well as Trefoils, Coconut Caramel Stripes (after Caramel deLites/Samoas), and Chocolate Peanut Butter (the Tagalongs). All varieties are available as a large jar candle, a small tumbler candle, and a car air freshener, so you can make your vehicle smell delicious, too. The best (worst?) part of all? They’re only sold online. Excuse me while I buy a few dozen and chalk it up to “being a good person” and “giving to charity.”

Whatever, though — at the end of the day, smelling calories is better than eating them. The end.
