Every Season Of “American Horror Story” Is Related And OMG Your Mind Is About To Get Blown

We lived in the murder house. We escaped the asylum. We protected the coven. And now, we’re attending the freak show.

“American Horror Story”–what a show. Ever since season one, we have literally been entranced by the series. The violence! The sex! The weird fucking shit that happens at every turn! If you’ve stuck it out all four seasons (‘atta girl) you’ve noticed that “Freak Show” has started out, well, basically the same. We’ve been slowly introduced to how messed up the characters are. There are weird sex triangles, and we met a misunderstood psycho who gets a sick joy out of killing people. NBD. Same ol’ same ol’.

We know what to expect. Sort of. We know that we’re going to fall in love with Evan Peters (those lobster hands, though…), we know we’re going to get pissed off by someone’s shitty accent (cough, Kathy Bates, cough), and we know that past actors are going to revisit us. And we were right. In true “AHS” style, while we saw familiar faces from our favorite actors, they all took form in new characters.

Except one: Pepper.

Pepper was first seen in season two, “Asylum.” Upon her entrance in season four, fans have been going wild with conspiracy theories. Then, when it was announced that another “Asylum” character, Sister Mary Eunice, was going to make a reappearance, people actually lost their shit. What does it all mean? What’s happening? Is she still a slutty demon? TELL US. But honestly, a sex-crazed nun doesn’t even come close to the biggest twist of all. Ready?

Every season of “American Horror Story” is related. They all intertwine into a bigger, all-encompassing story.

It’s okay, I’ll wait. I know your mind is literally blown right now. In an interview, co-creator Ryan Murphy recently confirmed that “all of AHS seasons are in fact connected…we’re just beginning to tell you how.” WHAT!?

He went on to say, “That’s the fun of the show. Hopefully by the end of the run, be it 10 years or 15 years, people will be able to stand back and say, ‘Oh that was connected to x.’ … This is the first year where we begin to tell you that season two is connected to season four which is connected to season one.”

Yeah, the world just became a much better place. So, when will we really start to see the connection? Considering the fact that “Freak Show” takes place in 1952 and “Asylum” takes place 1964, I’d say it’s when our nun arrives on set. We learned in season two that Pepper was committed for having “drowned her sister’s baby and cut off his ears.” If I’m not mistaken, doesn’t Pepper have a sister in “Freak Show”? I smell drama.

And if this giant plot twist wasn’t enough to make your day, I have one more “AHS” gem to throw your way. Neil Patrick Harris, our forever #MCM, and his husband David Burtka will join “Freak Show.” If their Halloween costumes are any indication of how fabulous they’ll be together on a set, then I’d say “AHS” has officially become the most legen–wait for it–dary show of all time.
