Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up one morning and say, “you know what, I think I’m going to take a year off,” and be done with it? I can say that I personally have had these feelings every day of my life, but then I remember I have nowhere near the amount of money I need to support myself for taking a straight week off, let alone a year.
So here we have Demi Lovato, who has been in some heat surrounding her interview with Glamour magazine regarding Taylor Swift and feminism. I won’t get into the details of that because honestly it’s the same shit, different day, but you have to wonder if all the backlash is the reason Demi tweeted this statement yesterday.
Demi says she isn’t “meant” for the music business, or maybe she means she’s not “meant” for the business that highlights everything you say, do, think, feel, eat, look at, etc. Demi lovers were heartbroken to say the least, and she did not give them much hope for the future.
Seems like everyone is cracking under their celebrity pressure these days. First Selena, then Chrissy, and now Demi. The real question is, why are all these celebs facing mental breakdowns? This is probably the result of a larger issue, mainly a culture that dissects every little thing these people do, and then gets mad at them for it. Whatever the case, we hope Demi comes back soon and enjoys her time off. Lord knows we all could use a break .
