Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan Tatum Recreate A “Step Up” Scene 10 Years Later, Are Still Better Than Us At Life

Whenever you think of couples you hate, they’re usually the same couples you admire. The really hot, really talented, really funny couples who make you look at your shitty boyfriend and think “what the hell am I doing with my life?” There are those ones we have in real life — the fraternity president and sorority president or the high school sweethearts with successful jobs and perfect hair. And then there are the celebrity couples you hate. You know, the ones that are so damn perfect for each other it makes you wonder how you’re the same species as them.

There’s Chris Pratt and Anna Faris. There’s Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis and then there’s Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum. You know, the two random people who were in “Step Up” — the movie that awakened us sexually while also making us realize how shitty our jazz dance classes were.

Anyway, that movie came out ten years ago. TEN. It’s been ten years since we went to the movies with our moms and drooled over Channing Tatum together for the first (but not the last) time. And in that time he married his co-star, Jenna, has kids, and they still have bodies we would sell our souls for. And in honor of the anniversary of the way they met, they pulled off a “Step Up” move that we could never in our loves accomplish.

We had to. #stepup10years

The director of the movie Anne Fletcher, said that while it’s obvious they’re in love, they never did anything while on the set.

I never said anything to them, they just chose on their own to get the movie done first. They took it very seriously. Once the movie was over — go for it! It was such a wonderful and romantic courting period, even though they didn’t act on it. It was very sweet.

Well fuck us, right?
